proverbs 2

Hi All!

Today is December 2nd making today’s chapter proverbs 2 🤗 And I must say… I am SO happy that i decided to do the proverbs challenge all over again because today’s scripture lined up with my circumstances and was EXACTLY what i needed.

I currently am struggling with a relationship in my life where i really feel like the person purposely tries to hurt me and negatively effect me. It’s like every time i don’t give in to the fake persona that they try to put out there, see them for who they are and try to steer clear, they go out of their way to try to get under my skin and knock me off course.

That’s why I’m so happy today’s scripture was what it was. It let me know that what they’re trying to do will not prevail as long as i continue to stay on my path/ walk with God.

Proverbs 2:1-5 Talks about how as long as you seek the Lord and His wisdom it WILL be given to you. With that, I’m given the peace that if i pray about it and really seek Him and His knowledge, I’ll know exactly how to handle the situation/ person and be provided with the understanding I need to move forward and not be harmed.

Proverbs 2:7-8 Says that those that walk in integrity will be guarded and protected by Him… He will preserve his saints and guard the paths of justice 🙌🏽 Babyyy!! I needed to hear that… While yes i already knew it… In this moment, I needed a reminder. Sometimes when I’m mid-storm it’s hard to focus on what i need to but today God made sure I was reminded and got the exact word that was due in this season of my life.

He lets you know that so many blessings come your way just from continuing that seeking (Proverbs 2:10-13). Among those things are:

  • knowledge
  • discretion
  • understanding
  • deliverance from evil

and so much more 😮‍💨 God is good… smh… He will do it every time

Proverbs 2:16-18 Says to stay away from flattery words from those who forget the covenant of God because it leads to death and a departed spirit. That was beyond spot on for me.. The person who was giving me problems started trying to tell me how “special” i am to them after making me feel anything but that and I shut it down quick fast and in a hurry. The Lord’s words were definitely with me in that moment and i thank Him for keeping me… Before i started back getting serious about my walk, I would’ve naively ate up every word that person was trying to butter me up with… but not with Him by my side Mm My vision was clear as day

The chapter ends with telling us to surround ourselves with good people to keep the path of righteousness (Proverbs 2:20) and lets us know that the upright/righteous will be rewarded while the wicked will be punished (Proverbs 2:21-22). Pretty much… We come out on top. Amen!

If i were to sum up all of Proverbs 2 in one sentence, I’d say “Seek the Lord and all will fall into place.”
