Hey All!
I just wanted to pop in and express just how important it is to be thankful šš½
Here lately, Iāve been making sure to thank God for even the smallest of things, such as: getting a good parking spot at my daughterās activities, making my iced coffee with the perfect ratios in the morning, a movie i wanted to see going from rent/buy on a streaming platform to free lol etc. and let me tell youā¦ Itās like the more i express gratitude over the small thingsā¦ the more good things come.
I have considered the fact that maybe no new surplus of blessings are actually coming & that Iām simply seeing more of them because Iām look for them butā¦ Would that even really matter? The blessings are there!!
Every single day, we have so many things to be thankful for and we just view them as the norm and what it should be as opposed to realizing that there are SOOO many out there who DONāT have what we doā¦ Have you ever watched a documentary or reality show of someone whoās living with some ailment and has to deal with it every day of their lives? ā¦ Have you considered that it couldāve very well been YOU but it isnāt?
I challenge you to really evaluate every little thing throughout your day and be grateful for all the things that you would normally overlookā¦ Just see what it does for your overall view of God, your life & just how blessed you truly are.
As i typed all thatās above, what came to mind is (please forgive me if itās not spot on) the lyrics to a song the choir used to sing at my old church saying something along the lines of, āCause it couldāve been meā¦ Outdoorsā¦ with no foodā¦ and no clothesāā¦.
I couldnāt get past the first line so i had to go on a quick search š & guess whatā¦ Iām thankful that i was able to find it with the broken up sporadic lyrics that i could remember lol
Iād definitely recommend listening to it and really taking it in. Itās genuinely so powerful if you take the time to think about it in depth.
And to back how important is is to give thanksā¦ Hereās a few scriptures on to soak in:

- āThanks be to God for his indescribable gift!ā 2 Corinthians 9:15 NIV

- āEnter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.ā Psalm 100:4 NIV
- āSing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.ā Ephesians 5:19-21
- āThanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!ā Romans 7:25 NIV
- āGive thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.ā Psalm 107:1 NIV
