The Trinity is the Christian doctrine that God exists as one being in three co-equal, co-external Persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. These three are distinct but inseparable, sharing the same divine essence and glory. The Trinity is not a belief in three gods, but rather a description of the one God’s nature and how God relates to the world.
